ClickUp
Connect a ClickUp workspace
Connect ClickUp to back up supported workspace data and restore missing content. Coverage and provider limits are described below.
Authorize access
Connecting requires an eligible ClickUp plan, separate from Linear. Check the plan status shown in the app.
- Sign in and open Dashboard -> Add platform. If ClickUp is already connected, choose Open workspaces on its Dashboard card instead.
- Choose Connect ClickUp or the connection action in its workspace list.
- Sign in to the ClickUp account that should read the source data and create restored records.
- Select the workspaces you want to authorize in ClickUp, then return to BackupLatte.
- Review the connected workspaces, schedules, retention and ClickUp plan status. Multiple workspaces selected in the authorization can be connected together.
Use an account with access to the lists and Docs you need. Authorization does not grant access to content that this account cannot read. A Doc appearing in ClickUp's list does not establish that its page content is readable; check Doc-page coverage after a backup. BackupLatte does not ask for your ClickUp password. ClickUp OAuth authorizes selected workspaces; it does not present Linear-style read/write/admin scope choices. A workspace may be authorized to only one BackupLatte account at a time.
Reconnect
If access is lost, the app marks the workspace as needing a reconnect. Choose Reconnect ClickUp and authorize the required workspaces again. Tokens are shared by the workspaces of one authorization; losing that authorization can affect several workspaces. Reconnecting does not restart a restore or create target records on its own. ClickUp tokens currently have no scheduled expiry, but revoked or invalid access still requires a reconnect.
Source and target accounts
Restore needs a connected target workspace whose connected user can access existing records and create the missing supported hierarchy. The target may be the source workspace or another workspace connected to the same BackupLatte account. A readable snapshot from a disconnected source can still be selected while it is kept. Restored records are created through the target authorization, with new IDs and system dates when recreated; active recognized records are reused. Choose access for new Docs explicitly, subject to the target's ClickUp plan and permissions. BackupLatte does not invite people or recreate workspace permissions.
Before relying on a backup
Check coverage, run a small restore in a test workspace, and compare the report and target records. Review limitations, including member counting and deletion after deauthorization. Connecting or signing in does not imply a paid ClickUp plan.
