Snapshots and downloads
Every backup run produces a snapshot. The workspace's Backups list shows them newest first; filter it by status to find failed or partial runs.

Under the size, +X new is what this snapshot added to your storage: its own data plus the files it copied for the first time. Files are shared between snapshots, so the sizes of several snapshots do not add up to what you store.
While a backup is waiting or running, its row shows live progress and updates by itself.
What's inside a snapshot
Download… opens a panel with:
- Records — how many records the snapshot holds, and in how many sets.
- Files from Linear — the distinct files it links to and their size.
- Total size — data plus files, and how much of it was new in storage.
- The incomplete sets, if any, each with the reason — for example files that no longer exist in Linear, or data Linear refused to share.
- What's inside — every set grouped as in What a backup contains, with its record count and its state when it is not complete.
Download the snapshot as a ZIP
- In the Download… panel, choose Prepare ZIP.
- The ZIP is built in the background; the panel updates when it is ready.
- Choose Download ZIP.
The ZIP holds every set as JSON, all the files copied from Linear, the manifest and a README. It is kept for 7 days (never beyond the snapshot's own retention) and can be downloaded as often as you like in that time. After that, prepare it again. Downloads use short-lived private links, so a link copied out of the page stops working after 15 minutes — reopen the panel for a fresh one.
Single sets are not offered on their own: a large set opened in a browser tab can freeze it. Use the ZIP.
The manifest
Download manifest.json saves the snapshot's manifest: per set its state, record count, size and SHA-256 checksum, plus the collection time, the Linear user it ran as and the access it had. Use it to check a download or to see at a glance what a snapshot covers.
Downloads without a plan
Downloading needs no active plan. If your subscription ends, you can still prepare and download ZIPs of the snapshots you have until they expire.
